Step 2 — Common issues
Common Issues
If the documentation didn’t resolve it, check these known issues and fixes.
A platform will not connect
LinkedIn connects in one click; Bluesky needs an app password from your Bluesky settings; X and Facebook need your own developer app (the documentation walks you through it). Re-check the credentials on the Platforms page.
A scheduled post failed to send
Posts are sent directly from your site to each platform’s API, so a failure is usually an expired token or an API limit. Open the Activity page for the exact reason, reconnect the account on Platforms, then re-queue the post.
AI copy drafting is not working (Pro)
AI copy runs through the WordPress core AI Client (WordPress 7.0 or later) using the provider connector you configure under Settings then Connectors. Make sure that connector has a valid API key.
Engagement stats look incomplete
Available metrics differ by platform: likes, comments and reactions work everywhere, but Facebook impressions and reach are no longer provided by Meta’s API and X impressions need the paid API tier. The GA4 channel report shows your site traffic by social channel.
